Andrew Graham-Dixon Art critic, journalist, TV presenter, author, lecturer and educationalist.

Andrew has written a number of books about art and artists. His earliest book, Howard Hodgkin (1993), was the first monograph on one of the leading painters of today. His latest book is a major study of one of the world's greatest works of art and its creator, entitled Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel.

Latest news - Andrew is currently working on a biography of Caravaggio, to be published by Penguin Books. He has not written as much of it as he would like, due to the increasingly mad schedule imposed by his ever-increasing success and popularity (his agent told us to put that bit in), but 50,000 words have been written so far... and we are thinking opf putting a few extracts up on the site as "teasers". Let us know if you would like to be tantalised by glimpses of the work in progress and we will see what we can do.

One other new development. Andrew is Editorial Consultant on a brilliant new DK book, Art - the Definitive Visual Guide.  For details, see DK's website.
